The newest addition to the Madeleine family is a "Bordeaux blend", made of 75% Cabernet Sauvignon, 15% Merlot and 10% Cabernet franc.
It has a dark ruby hue with a violet center and a very bright edge. The plum and cherry characteristics are overt with menthol undertones.
Spices play a prominent role as well, with chocolate, clove and cinnamon.
It is smooth and full bodied. The tannins are perfectly ripe and soft.
A true model of a California Cabernet Sauvignon, with a plus in complexity!
