Madeleine "Au Naturel" 2009 is the first natural wine by Madeleine.
A natural wine is made from organically grown grapes without the use of any
additives, foreign yeasts or adjustments for acidity. Madeleine “Au Naturel”
is a Syrah from Arroyo Seco, California.
It has flavors of blueberry, black cherry and dark chocolate. Its deep ruby
color predicts a full body. Spices, notes of toast on the palate and a
chalky finish complete the picture.
Because no sulfites have been added, it has been aged for only six months
under maximum oxygen protection and therefore requires at least one hour of
decanting to reveal itself.
